A purchasing checklist for dog car seat covers, boot liners and private label accessory sets: product fit, packing information, quote terms and import checks.

WHOLESALE BUYER NOTES
1. Match the product to the customer and vehicle.
Australian dog travel buying can include rear-seat protection, cargo-area protection and coordinated walking accessories. These are separate use cases with different specifications.
Rear seat or boot?
For dog car seat covers, check bench versus hammock construction, rear-seat width and depth, headrest straps and seat-belt openings. For dog boot liners, measure the load floor, wheel-arch width, seat-back coverage and optional side walls or bumper flap.
“Cargo liner” and “boot liner” are both used for the load area. A floor-only mat and a full-coverage liner are not equivalent quotes. SUV, wagon or 4WD labels are not a substitute for dimensions and sample fit checks.
Walking and accessory sets
A private label dog travel set can coordinate a harness, lead, collar and selected travel accessories. Set the size and colour mix, component specifications and packaging before comparing quotes.
Keep intended-use claims clear. Walking harnesses, seat covers and liners are not automatically vehicle restraints or crash-tested safety products. Claims about transport safety need evidence for the actual product and use.

2. Compare landed cost, not just the unit price.
Ask each supplier to quote on the same quantity, currency, delivery term and named place. Otherwise an apparently lower price may exclude costs covered by another quotation.

Cost or condition
What to ask for
Product and variants
Model, size/colour quantities, unit price, currency, MOQ and quotation validity.
Sample and branding
Sample cost, logo or artwork setup, revision conditions and sample freight.
Packing
Retail-pack dimensions and weight, units per carton, carton measurements and gross weight.
Freight and delivery
Dispatch location, destination, freight method, Incoterm and named place; what is included or excluded.
Import and local charges
Importer responsibilities, classification, applicable duty and GST, clearance, inspection and local transport.
Timing
Sample preparation, approval date, production starting conditions, dispatch and estimated transit time.
Calculate carton volume from measured outer length × width × height in metres. Multiply by the carton count for a planning total. Freight pricing can also depend on weight, chargeable volume, routing and carrier terms; confirm the actual basis with the freight provider.
Do not assume a particular customs duty rate or tariff classification from a category name such as “pet accessories”. Different materials and components can require different treatment. Check the actual product with your customs broker and the Australian Border Force.
WHOLESALE BUYER NOTES
3. Check the requirements for the actual goods.
Use current official guidance and your customs or freight adviser before committing to a shipment. A supplier’s general product description does not settle Australian import requirements.
Customs, documents and responsibility
The Australian Border Force import requirements are a starting point for checking entry procedures, declarations and associated charges. Agree who is responsible for importing and what documents your broker needs for the selected goods and shipment.
Confirm product descriptions, material information, quantities, values and dispatch details. Invoice and packing-list information should match the approved order and packed cartons.
Materials, biosecurity and packaging
Check applicable import conditions through the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s BICON system. Materials, origin, treatment, cleanliness and packaging can affect the checks needed. Do not assume every pet accessory has identical requirements.
If a bottle or bowl is part of the range, confirm its materials and intended use separately. If pallets or other timber packaging are proposed, ask your broker or freight provider what requirements apply. Request evidence for any specific compliance claim before using it in a retail listing.
This guide is a purchasing checklist, not a customs ruling, tax calculation or product compliance certificate. Product-specific import conditions should be checked against current official guidance.
WHOLESALE BUYER NOTES
4. Start with a short buying brief.
A first enquiry can be simple. You can develop the detailed specification after the initial product discussion.
Product and use
Seat cover, boot liner or custom set; preferred format and target customer. Add measurements or reference images if available.
Approximate quantity and branding
Estimated quantity per model or set, preferred colours and sizes, and whether you need logos or retail packaging. If the mix is undecided, say so.
Destination and timing
Australian delivery city or postcode, desired delivery window and any known freight preference. Ask for separate sampling, production and transit estimates.
Sample and quotation confirmation
Request model-specific MOQ, sample charges, packing data, delivery terms and dispatch location in writing. Local Australian inventory or a fixed delivery date should never be assumed.
Is NOV PETS an Australian local-stock wholesaler?+
NOV PETS is a B2B sourcing and supply partner based in Shanghai, China, focused on enquiries from Australian importers, wholesalers, pet brands and retailers. This website does not claim an Australian warehouse or locally held stock. Dispatch location, delivery terms and lead times are confirmed with the quotation.
Which dog travel products can I enquire about?+
The current range covers dog car seat covers, dog boot or cargo liners and coordinated private label travel accessory sets. Tell us the category, approximate quantity and branding requirements; final product options and specifications are confirmed before sampling.
What is the MOQ for an Australian wholesale order?+
MOQ is confirmed by product, variant and customisation. Ask for the quantity per model, colour and size, plus any separate branding or packaging requirement. There is no single verified MOQ for every product on the site.
Are freight, duty and GST included in a wholesale price?+
That depends on the quotation and delivery terms. Request an itemised quotation identifying the currency, Incoterm and named place, included costs and importer responsibilities. Confirm product-specific import charges with your customs or freight adviser.
