WHOLESALE BUYER NOTES

Compare boot and cargo coverage before choosing a liner.

Dog boot liners, also called dog cargo liners, protect the vehicle’s load area. For Australian SUV and wagon ranges, the useful comparison is the coverage map and dimensions, rather than a universal-fit label.

Boot liner coverage checklist
AreaDimensions and design to confirmWhy it matters
Boot floorWidth at the wheel arches, usable depth and floor shape. The narrowest width can differ from the opening width. Record both where needed.
Rear seat backsPanel height, split-fold layout and headrest attachments.Folding the rear seats can change the area that needs protection.
Side wallsPanel height, attachment method and access to vehicle fittings.Full-height side coverage is a different specification from a floor-only mat.
Bumper flapFlap length, width and storage or fold-away position.Check loading coverage and confirm that the flap is stored clear of the tailgate before closing.

Review the liner as an assembled product

Compare face fabric, backing, seams, edge binding and attachment points. Check whether the proposed fixing method suits the interior trim. Material claims and cleaning instructions should refer to the selected liner, not an unrelated fabric swatch.

Ask for dimensions in millimetres and mark them on a drawing. If your retail listing will name a vehicle, review a sample in that vehicle before making a compatibility claim.

Plan the packed size and variant mix

Folded liners can occupy very different carton volumes. Compare packed dimensions and weight, units per carton and outer carton dimensions when requesting freight estimates. Define colour and size variants before comparing MOQ and unit prices.

Logo labels, packaging and care instructions can be discussed with the selected model. Use the dog travel buyer guide to keep sample approval and purchase specifications together.

BEFORE YOU APPROVE A BULK ORDER

Turn a boot liner sample into a purchase specification.

Use the chosen sample to agree the specification, artwork and packing. These are purchasing checks to plan with your supplier, not claims that an illustrated product has passed testing.

Oxford, TPU and PVC describe different parts of a liner.

Oxford describes a woven fabric construction; TPU can be used as a film or laminated barrier, and PVC as a coating or layer. They are not three interchangeable whole-product specifications. Ask for the layer construction and assembled-product evidence before comparing claims.

ANSWERS FOR BUSINESS BUYERS

Boot liner sourcing FAQS

Are dog boot liners and dog cargo liners the same product category?

They generally describe protection for the vehicle load area. “Boot liner” is common Australian terminology; “cargo liner” is also used by suppliers. Compare floor, seat-back, side-wall and bumper coverage to establish whether two quotations describe the same layout.

Can I order branded dog boot liners in bulk?

Send the required coverage, approximate quantity, colour and logo or packaging needs. NOV PETS reviews wholesale and private label enquiries for boot liners; MOQ, sample cost and production timing are confirmed against the selected specification.

What measurements should I take for an SUV boot liner?

Measure usable floor depth and width, including the width between wheel arches, plus seat-back height and any side-wall or bumper coverage. Record the rear-seat position and proposed fixing points. Do not infer fit from the vehicle class alone.

Does a boot liner secure a dog during driving?

No. A boot liner is interior protection. It should not be presented as a restraint, cargo barrier or crash-tested device. Any transport or restraint system needs a separate assessment.
