WHOLESALE BUYER NOTES
Bench or hammock: what should your range include?
Dog car seat covers protect the rear-seat upholstery. For a wholesale range, compare the coverage layout, vehicle measurements and installation access before comparing prices.
Rear-seat cover options for wholesale sourcing| Format | Coverage to compare | Sample checks |
|---|
| Bench cover | Rear-seat base and backrest; check whether side flaps are included. | Measure panel width and depth in mm. Check headrest straps, seat-belt openings and passenger access. |
|---|
| Hammock cover | Rear-seat protection with a panel extending towards the front-seat headrests. | Check strap adjustment, footwell coverage and whether the panel can be folded away. |
|---|
| Side-flap option | Additional coverage beside the rear seat; shape and depth depend on the model. | Check door clearance, zips and how the flap is secured during use. |
|---|
Specify the complete construction
Record the outer fabric, backing, padding, seams and fasteners separately. A fabric label such as “Oxford” or a denier number does not establish the performance of the finished cover. Ask for the material composition and a sample of the proposed construction.
Water resistance, washing instructions and anti-slip performance need evidence for the agreed model. Openings and seams may behave differently from the main panel. Review the underside on the intended upholstery and check for marking or colour transfer.
Make each SKU ready for resale
Confirm folded dimensions, packed weight, units per carton and carton size. Record logo placement, installation instructions, care labels and barcode positions together with the product specification.
Ask for MOQ by model, colour and branding method. Standard covers, logo applications and new construction may have different order requirements. Compare wholesale terms before approving a production order.
A seat cover is an interior protector, not a vehicle restraint or a crash-tested safety device. Walking accessories and attachment straps should not be described as crash protection.
BEFORE YOU APPROVE A BULK ORDER
Approve the seat cover, not just the fabric.
Use the chosen sample to agree the specification, artwork and packing. These are purchasing checks to plan with your supplier, not claims that an illustrated product has passed testing.
Sample approval checklist| Review area | Before sampling | Keep with your approval |
|---|
| Coverage and fit | Record width, length, drop and flap dimensions in millimetres. | Fit the sample in the intended seat layout; keep a marked drawing and photos. |
|---|
| Openings and fixings | Specify belt openings, anchors, headrest straps and any mesh or zipper panels. | Check access and attachment positions against the agreed vehicle setup. |
|---|
| Water and cleaning | Identify the face fabric, barrier layer, seams and proposed care instructions. | Agree a repeatable sample check for the assembled cover; record conditions and results. |
|---|
| Branding and packing | Confirm logo method, label position, folded dimensions and carton quantities. | Approve the labelled, packed sample and retain the artwork version. |
